General Manager Sales

Global Konsalting (GK) is an outsourced professional services organization based in Novi Sad. GK has been operating since 2003 and has a strong track record of organic leadership development. GK provides management services to a range of mass market B2C businesses operating in Australia and US markets. In order to enable the growth of our global clients, we are seeking an experienced, ambitious and highly driven general manager of sales, who can deliver sales targets for various clients and product verticals. These sales targets will be achieved through growing and developing an established sales team which comprise: call centre (based in Novi Sad); and on-the-ground sales individuals domiciled in the overseas markets they serve. The clients served by GK all require sales activities to be performed with a high customer centric focus.

JOB SUMMARY:

To lead and manage all day-to-day sales activities for GK’s multiple client base. This will require the management of all sales resources/channels to deliver effectiveness (conversion), efficiency (productivity) and quality (standards) key performance indicators to ensure the profitable growth of GK’s client’s business. Developing and coaching the sales team capability to a best in class level. Preparing, sales campaigns by product, channel and market to deliver business objectives. Identification of skill, or resource gaps that compromise ability to meet objectives. Initiate process re-engineering with business recommendations to mitigate any identified risk. Act as the main custodian of the sales budget to maximize ROI and growth opportunities.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Education, Experience and Language

  • 5 years+ sales management experience in local and international markets
  • Preferably experience will be in B2C mass market product and services
  • Degree in a Business-related subject would advantage the candidate more than representing a necessity
  • Unconsciously fluent spoken and written English is essential

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

Supporting Developing & Executing Sales Strategies

  • Works with the executive team to convert business objectives into an actionable sales strategy and plan
  • Ability to effectively communicate the strategic aims and action plan of the client with the sales team to deliver customer and revenue targets
  • Assists the development and implementation of product/service promotions and campaigns

Goal setting and management

  • Develops realistic stretch objectives on an individual and team basis
  • Provides leadership in a structured, confident, nurturing and assertive manner, to ensure the maximisation of operating goals
  • Identifies risk, or overachieving opportunities in a timely manner, to enable relevant action to be planned and executed

Managing Sales Activities

  • Monitors day to day activities of the sales team to ensure their alignment with sales performance targets and objectives
  • Takes the lead role in identification and implementation on all operating/performance issues that pertain to the sales team
  • Daily communication with the sales team to ensure that onboarding requirements are met, and operating imperatives are met
  • Ensures communication with cross-functional groups achieve group objectives

Analysing & Reporting on Sales and Financial Data

  • Analysis of sales and CRM systems to ensure the tracking of key performance indicators required to achieve sales targets
  • Review of financial data to manage the sales cost centre
  • Introduce customer satisfaction program to determine quality of sales interaction and identification of development areas

Resource planning and Leadership

  • In conjunction with the Human Resource team, develop a systemic approach to recruitment and training to ensure headcount and skill set aligns with operating goals
  • Formulate, implement and oversee the management of training and staff development for the sales team
  • Promote a culture of continual improvement within the sales team and identification of future leaders
  • Demonstrate a passion for personal and team leadership development
