We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer to work at the premises of the company in Belgrade and/or remotely.
Main responsibilities and Tasks
- Participate in the design and implementation of databases, ETLs, BI reports
- Migration of database/ETL changes across environments
- Develop/maintain data models in accordance to end users’ information needs and views
- Monitor server performance of application databases
- Maintain access rights
- Write technical documentation
- Install and configure the respective tools
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Strong knowledge of database theory and experience in data modelling
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and "NoSQL" databases (time series databases, Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Excellent command of English
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
- Strong desire to learn
Nice to have skills
- Competence in Python or Java, PL/SQL or T-SQL
- Experience with some of the database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase)
- Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems
